LEEA Appointed Person for Lifting Operations

LEEA Appointed Person for Lifting OperationsA 5-day classroom and lift-planning course for professionals who plan, authorise and take overall control of lifting operations onshore and offshore. Conducted at our training centre in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between an Appointed Person and a Lifting Supervisor?

The Appointed Person plans the lift and holds overall responsibility for it – crane selection, lift plan and RAMS. The Lifting Supervisor controls the lift on site according to that plan. The Appointed Person may delegate supervision, but not the overall responsibility.

How long is the Appointed Person for Lifting Operations course?

The course runs for 5 days at our Kharghar, Navi Mumbai centre, from 11:00 to 18:00 each day.

Do I need lifting experience before joining?

Yes, prior experience in rigging, crane operation or lift supervision is strongly recommended, since the course focuses on planning rather than basic slinging. Candidates without experience should first complete our Rigging & Lifting Supervisor course.

Is this course useful for offshore and Gulf jobs?

Appointed Person training is commonly listed as a requirement for lift planner, crane coordinator and lifting supervisor roles with offshore operators, EPC contractors and Middle East employers.
